History
En la plaza de la Constitución hubo una imprenta y librería desde mediados del siglo XVII. Este establecimiento permaneció abierto más de dos siglos y estuvo en manos de la misma familia, aunque figuró bajo dos apellidos distintos, los López Hidalgo y los Carreras, que lo mantuvieron durante seis generaciones, desde 1669 hasta 1888. Ese año se derribó la vetusta casa para poder abrir la nueva calle Larios. La famosa imprenta ocupaba parte del solar de lo que hoy es el Hotel Larios.
