Fernando García Márquez es alumno de José María Sánchez Verdú. La Filarmónica de Málaga estrenó en 2009 su obra "Figuras y sombras". En 2021, durante el Concurso de Composición de Basilea, se estrenó otras de sus composiciones, "Espejo del dolor".
